The Alexander Koenig Research Museum is a world-class natural history museum and zoological research institution. Named after Bonn-born naturalist Alexander Koenig, the research museum was opened in 1934 and features a variety of exhibitions, including the main exhibit called “Our Blue Planet – the Living Network.” Visitors can enjoy lifelike dioramas of different environments around the globe like the African savannah, tropical rainforests of the Amazon, Central Europe’s temperate landscapes, arid deserts, and the icy polar regions.
