Review:

The Scheveningen Pier is an iconic landmark of the city, extending 1,300 feet into the sea and standing several feet above the water on the western side of the city. Built in the early 1900s as a wooden promenade above the sea, the pier burned down in 1943, was reconstructed in 1962 out of cement, and now features a variety of attractions and entertainment. The Pier is home to a 130-foot high Ferris wheel, a 1,200-foot zip line, Bungy Jump Holland, luxurious hotel suites, sun decks, picnic areas, restaurants, and picnic areas. The famous pier hosts a variety of festivals, cultural events, musical performances and markets and markets throughout the year, and is open daily, year-round with free admission.
