Known and loved for being Brisbane’s original botanic gardens, the City Botanic Gardens are a fantastic recreational space for locals and travelers alike to simply relax and enjoy Brisbane’s spectacular weather. There’s more than just the usual park items to see at the City Botanic Gardens with attractions including the Bamboo Grove, which is home to 23 kinds of bamboo, the Jemmy Morrill and Brolgas sculptures, the Cannon, which dates back to 1862, as well an ornamental ponds designed by Harry Oakman. That’s not all, however, with top venue locations like the Riverstage also being located in the City Botanic Gardens, as well as iconic landmarks like the Weeping Fig Avenue and Walter Hill Fountain.
