Zhongshuge Bookstore is an awe-inspiring space that takes bookstore design to a new level. Spanning 1,300 square-meters across four levels, the strategically designed bookstore has quirky details such as optical illusions, zig-zagging stairs along the walls of books, shapes inspired by Chinese lanterns and lampshades, and mirrored ceilings to create an impression of an infinite space made up of books. Lower-ceilinged reading nooks offer cozy spaces in which to relax and read, and a welcoming children’s area also features floor-to-ceiling shelving and mirrored ceilings.
