The sleek and sophisticated store features pivoting bookshelves that function as doors and which are illuminated at night, so passers-by can have a look at what is on offer. Spanning three floors, the stark white interior has black bookshelves lining the walls and stairways packed with a vast collection of books, magazines, urging visitors to pick up a book and start reading. There is an English language section with a superb selection of titles in both hardback and softcover, and the closest metro stations are Oscar Freire and Consolação.
