Svolvaer is a town located on the island of Austvågøya, which is part of the Lofoten Archipelago. Svolvær is the largest settlement on the archipelago, and despite its tiny population, offers some truly giant views. In every single direction in Svolvær there are snow-capped mountains or wide blue seascapes dotted with other islands peeking out from behind the buildings of the town. It's a huge fishing location, so visitors would be remiss if they didn't try some seafood while in Svolvær, and it is also home to Trollfjord, a small, narrow fjord that is often considered one of the best-kept secrets in Norway.
