The Tomato Industrial Museum is a former tomato processing factory that has been converted into a museum so that visitors can explore the history of Santorini’s tomato paste industry.

Though visitors may find it odd to have an entire museum dedicated to Santorini’s delicious tomatoes, the museum is a fun way for the entire family to spend the day. Visitors can learn all about why the island’s tomatoes have a distinctive flavor – because they grow in the soft volcanic soil of Santorini.

The museum also goes into detail about how the small pre-industrial technology plant grew in the early 1900s.
