Resting on the shores of the Bowdish Reservoir within the 4000-acre George Washington Management Area in the village of Chepachet, the 100-acre George Washington State Campground and Management Area offers overnight, primitive camping and a wealth of outdoor recreational activities.

Located on Putnam Pike, the campground features 45 well-spaced gravel sites suitable for tents, trailers and RVs, fire pits, potable water from spigots throughout the campground, and restrooms with pit toilets or outhouses.

There are two Adirondack-style shelters for group camping of up to 20 people, and parking is available in the main campground.
