Review:
Cafe Orleans is a charming eatery in Disneyland's New Orleans Square area, originally opened within the park in 1966 as the Creole Café. The French Quarter-themed restaurant showcases elegant decor meant to mimic the vibrant Big Easy district, including dark wood elements, stained glass, and brass fixtures. Character theming from Disney's Louisiana-set Princess and the Frog movie abounds, while an outdoor patio lets diners observe nearby attractions such as the Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion attractions and the Mark Twain Riverboat. Excellent French Creole-inspired fare served up throughout the day includes croque monsieur sandwiches, Parmesan pommes frites, three-cheese monte cristos, and creamy seafood gratin. The restaurant also serves the park's signature Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets, paired with vanilla bean crème anglaise and fruit coulis. Diners should note that as the park is located within the Disneyland theme park, valid full-day park admission is required in order to dine at the restaurant.
