2. Tanque Verde Ranch - Tucson, Arizona
Set against the backdrop of the Rincon Mountains and bordering Saguaro National Park, Tanque Verde Ranch is one of the absolute best all-inclusive resorts in the USA for families. Why? Because of great setting, a ton of activities for the whole family, friendly service and some of the best desert views I’ve ever seen.
My favorite part was the authentic dude ranch experience, with horseback rides through desert trails, guided hikes, and campfire evenings that felt straight out of a Western movie.
My accommodations for two days blended rustic charm with cozy comfort. Our casita for three days featured wood beams, fireplaces, and patios that opened onto sweeping desert views.
I loved the all-inclusive approach, which meant hearty ranch-style meals, outdoor adventures, and family-friendly activities were all part of the experience—it was one of the best values for an immersive getaway.
The ranch also had a variety of activities beyond horseback riding, including fishing, mountain biking, and even yoga with desert views, making every day feel new and exciting.
The pool and spa were perfect for unwinding after 3 hours on the trails, and I especially enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountains.

Red Mountain Resort gave me some of the best desert views I’ve ever experienced, including towering cliffs, vivid sandstone formations, and starry skies that made every moment feel magical.
My favorite part was the balance between relaxation and outdoor adventure where each day offered the choice of guided hikes, fitness classes, or simply soaking in the peaceful desert atmosphere.

4. Historic Tapoco Lodge, Robbinsville, North Carolina
Set along the Cheoah River and surrounded by lush forest, Tapoco Lodge in Robbinsville gave me some of the best mountain views and river sounds I could ask for, it felt like a true weekend escape into nature. Many activities are included though meals are usually not, depending on the package, so be sure to check before booking!
My favorite part was the historic character of the property, originally built in the 1930s for workers of the nearby hydroelectric project, now lovingly restored into a cozy retreat.
My room for two days had a rustic elegance, with wood accents, fireplaces, and river or mountain views that made every stay feel special and inviting.
I loved dining at the Tapoco Tavern, where hearty meals were served on the outdoor riverfront deck—listening to the rushing water while enjoying dinner quickly became one of my favorite experiences.
The 3-star Historic Tapoco Lodge was perfectly located for adventure, with easy access to the Tail of the Dragon scenic drive, hiking trails, waterfalls, and endless Smoky Mountain exploration.
The staff added to the experience with genuine Southern hospitality, making me feel both welcomed and cared for throughout my stay.
Tapoco Lodge is one of the most underrated treasures in North Carolina, perfect for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or simply a peaceful solo retreat surrounded by mountains and rivers.
The lodge is especially popular with motorcyclists for its proximity to the Tail of the Dragon , 318 curves in 11 miles, so expect a lively mix of adventurers and nature lovers.
Every moment here felt like a step back in time paired with the best comforts of today, making it one of my favorite mountain escapes.

5. Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, Nevada
Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe is one of my favorite mountain-lake getaways, a getaway that combines rustic charm with modern luxury in the best way. Although it's not a standard all-inclusive resort...pricing depends on the package that you choose which I didn't mind because it gave me the flexibility to dine nearby sometimes, not always at the resort.
Set right on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, the resort gave me some of the best views of the lake and forest and it felt like the perfect backdrop for a weekend escape.
My favorite part was the private beach, where I could lounge by the fire pits, sip cocktails, and watch the sunset over the lake—it was pure magic and easily one of the best features of the resort.
Our room for three days was warm and inviting, with cozy lodge-style décor, plush bedding, and a private balcony that my stay feel both comfortable and scenic.
I loved the dining options at this 4-star resort like Osteria Sierra. The resort also offered a great selection of things to do, from kayaking and paddleboarding in summer to skiing at nearby resorts in winter—making it my favorite year-round destination.
The spa was another highlight for me, offering treatments inspired by the natural surroundings and a serene atmosphere that felt perfect after a day of adventure.
The pool and hot tubs, set among the pines, gave me the chance to relax outdoors while still soaking in the mountain air.

I loved all the things to do nearby too, including Heavenly Gondola, Vikingsholm Castle, romantic dinner cruises, hiking in summer and skiing in winter.

6. C Lazy U Ranch, Granby, Colorado
Nestled in the Colorado Rockies, C Lazy U Ranch is the best all inclusive Dude ranch resort in Colorado. Its the ultimate Western weekend getaway, whether you are traveling with your family, solo or with your partner.
Our cozy cabin for four days had a wood-burning fireplace, plush bedding, and a private porch where I could watch the sun rise over the mountains.
I loved the all-inclusive dining, where hearty ranch-style meals and gourmet dishes were served family-style...it was one of the best ways to connect with fellow guests.
My favorite part was the horseback riding, with trails that wound through stunning scenery and wranglers who made every ride feel adventurous yet approachable.
The ranch offered endless activities beyond riding: fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, archery, and in the winter, skiing and sleigh rides made it my favorite year-round destination.

Set on 113 acres of rolling countryside, Winvian Farm felt like the perfect backdrop for a romantic weekend getaway or a quiet family retreat. I think it's one of the best all inclusive resorts in New England.
My favorite part was the collection of unique cottages, each designed with its own imaginative theme—whether it was staying in a treehouse, a log cabin, or even a whimsical helicopter cottage, every space felt like a one-of-a-kind adventure.
My cottage for three days was cozy yet luxurious, with a wood-burning fireplace, soaking tus, and plush bedding that made each night feel indulgent and memorable.
I loved the farm-to-table dining at the on-site restaurant, where seasonal ingredients grown right on the property turned every meal into one of the best culinary experiences in Connecticut.
Activities range from biking and hiking the scenic trails to spa treatments and cooking classes so we were never bored on vacation.
In the evenings, I enjoyed sitting by the fire with a glass of wine, savoring the peace and quiet of the countryside—it was the ultimate way to unwind.

8. Grand Hotel, Mackinac Island, Michigan
Set high on a bluff overlooking the Straits of Mackinac, I think that the 4-star Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is the best all inclusive resort in the Midwest. I love the magical Lake Huron views, especially at sunset.
My favorite part was the iconic front porch (the longest in the world!) lined with rocking chairs where I could sit and relax for a while.
My room for three nights was colorful, charming, and individually decorated.
I loved the tradition and sense of occasion here like afternoon tea in the parlor, dressing up for dinner, and dancing to live orchestra music in the ballroom made me feel like I was part of something truly special.
The dining was another highlight, with multi-course meals served in the grand dining room, offering some of the best fine dining experiences I’ve had in the Midwest.
Activities were exciting, from horse-drawn carriage rides around the car-free island to rounds of golf on the historic course, every day felt filled with charm and discovery.
The gardens and grounds were breathtaking, with vibrant flowers and manicured lawns that made evening strolls a favorite part of my stay.

9. Hana-Maui Resort in Hawaii
Set at the end of the legendary Road to Hana, arriving at the all-inclusive Hana-Maui Resort meant stepping into a secluded paradise perfect for a romantic weekend getaway or a longer honeymoon.
I can honestly say this is my all time favorite all inclusive resort experience when I moved to Hawaii! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a refreshing beverage, golf cart that took us to our private cottage overlooking the ocean while we chatted with staff about the resort. It felt like being welcomed into a super luxurious family home. Our luggage magically appeared at the cottage while the person driving the golf cart told us he's been working at the resort for 25 years and that he loves it.
What I noticed right away was the sense of tranquility...there are no big crowds here, just open space, gentle breezes, and the sound of waves that instantly put me at ease.
Our cottage was spacious and airy, with a lanai (Hawaiian for terrace) overlooking the Pacific, a true local gem. It was an indoor-outdoor living experience that made me feel connected to nature and I wished I could live like this forever!
I loved the locally inspired dining, where fresh Hawaiian ingredients and creative flavors made each meal one of the best highlights of the trip.
Activities were all about immersing in the natural beauty—sunrise yoga, cultural classes, hiking nearby waterfalls, and swimming at hidden beaches made every day unforgettable.
The spa was another favorite for me, offering treatments rooted in Hawaiian traditions that left me feeling refreshed and renewed.
One of my favorite moments was simply relaxing in a hammock under the palm trees, watching the sun dip into the ocean—it was pure serenity.
The staff added to the magic with their warm hospitality and thoughtful touches, making me feel like part of the Hana community.
