Pine Grove Furnace State Park packs a lot into a single park space; sitting at the northernmost edge of the famous Blue Ridge Mountains, it has a number of different environments to explore and activities to take advantage of. Nature and adventure seekers who head to Pine Grove Furnace State Park can enjoy the waters of not one, but two lakes, Fuller and Laurel, both of which have sandy beaches along their shores. Access to the famous Appalachian Trail is also available here, as is a rail trail with a dedicated bicycle path.
