The park brings together 587 acres of land along the shoreline of this beautiful aquatic treasure and offers much to be enjoyed. Its natural features include the Elk Creek fishery, a black oak savannah and woodland area, the sand barrens ecosystems common in the Great Lakes area, and bluffs that overlook the lake. Fishing and boating are encouraged here, while swimming and overnight stays are not permitted.
