In 1744 German immigrants Peter and Rozanna Wentz set about building their farmstead in rural Montgomery Country. Since then the stately Georgian-style home has seen several changes of ownership. In 1969 it was purchased and renovated by Montgomery County to serve as a working museum. The historic farmstead has been furnished just as it would have been during the time of the American Revolution. The surrounding fields are farmed as they would have been back then and the restored barn is home to heritage breeds of farm animals. Visitors are invited to come to the farmstead for of glimpse of rural life from days gone by. Guided tours are available from Tuesday to Sunday.
