The 300+ year-old Morgan Log House was originally built as a homestead by Welsh immigrant Edward Morgan. After providing a secure home for generations of owners, the house was eventually abandoned and condemned in 1967. Fortunately, this very old historic building was saved at the 11th hour and restored, opening its doors to the public in 1976. The home offers a rare look at middle-class family life during the early 18th century. Tours and programs are offered from Thursdays to Sundays, and access to the main house is by guided tour only. Visitors are welcome to explore the grounds at their own pace or enjoy a picnic in the gardens.
