Wellsboro is a borough in Tioga County, Pennsylvania, about 52 miles from Williamsport , on the slopes of Appalachian Mountains. In the early 20th century, Wellsboro was regional trade center and the shipping point for a large area. Great way to visit this charming little sleepy town is to pick up a tourist brochure at the Tioga County Visitor Bureau and do a walking tour of the town’s most significant spots. The town is surrounded by parks that were developed mostly to protect the unique areas around the 800-foot deep Pine Creek Gorge. Pine Creek Rail Trail offers comfortable two-hour long excursions between Wellsboro and Jersey Shore. CDC information for travelers. Hours/availability may have changed.
