The Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a delightful green space and welcome reprieve in the middle of the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The garden has been open since 1893, providing acres of planted gardens and a 14-room glass greenhouse for the public to enjoy. The gorgeous grounds make for the perfect backdrop for a wedding or other special occasion. You can choose to have a wedding ceremony in the garden, an outdoor cocktail reception or an indoor celebration at the Tropical Forest Conservatory or Special Events Hall. The Gables at Chadds Ford is a high-end bar and restaurant located inside a renovated barn. The property has a second floor banquet room with its own private entrance, a deck and a bar which is a great option for wedding receptions. The space features a raised ceiling with exposed beams and frame and a full wall of windows. Cairnwood Estate is a historic mansion located right beside the Glencalm Museum. The Beaux Arts-style home was constructed in 1895 and infuses elements of classical Greek and Roman style as well as some touches of the French Renaissance giving an overall appearance that is both rustic and posh. The sprawling estate contains the main home, a courtyard, formal gardens and other smaller buildings. Among other uses, the estate is available for wedding receptions and other events. Cescaphe Ballroom is an event venue occupying the space of a former movie theatre. The theatre was an ornate movie house from cinema’s golden age and today it is one of the more orate and impressive venues in Philadelphia.
