Many people associate the Santander Performing Arts Center with the revitalization of downtown Reading. Here, the two performance venues form the pulsing heart of entertainment in the city, where they have replaced historic old cinema houses. Located just a few blocks from each other, the two venues have been providing world-class live entertainment to the city for 20 years. In addition to hosting big concerts, the Arena is home to several local sports teams including the Reading Royals Ice Hockey team and can seat over 7000 spectators. The Performing Arts Center replaced the former Rajah Theatre, and is now home to the Reading Symphony Orchestra and hosts a full calendar of live performances of all genres.
