The Terwilliger Hot Springs, located near the Belknap and Bigelow Hot Springs, are one of the Willamette National Forest’s most popular spots for a relaxing, warm soak. Also known as the Cougar Hot Springs, the small cave in this area feeds hot water to five natural basins along the way to the McKenzie River below. Visitors can reach the Terwilliger Hot Springs by way of a quarter-mile trail, where often other people can be found taking a soak in the warm waters. This hot spot is a clothing-optional hot spring and a fee is collected at the hot springs trailhead.
