The Paulina Hot Springs are located within the Newberry National Volcanic Monument and the Deschutes National Forest. This beautiful soaking spot by the shores of Paulina Lake. This somewhat unique hot spring area can be reached following a two-mile hike along the lake’s shoreline, starting at the campground, with a portion of this route navigating rock outcroppings and offering views of the surrounding landscape. After the scenic trek, small hot spring soaking spots can be found dug out from the rocky Paulina Lake shoreline. The hot water seeping from underground is cooled by small waves from the lake.
