Completed in 2007, the Sandy Historical Museum is dedicated to the preservation of the pioneer history and experience in the Sandy Area, Oregon Trail School District and other surrounding areas. The museum has a range of exhibits with photos and artifacts dating back to the mid-1800s. The museum tells the story about the historic Barlow Road. The museum sits on Pioneer Boulevard, once a part of the original Barlow Road. The museum has an exhibit on the founding family Francis and Lydia Revenue, a historical display of the logging industry from the mid 1800's and many other fascinating displays. The museum includes a library of historical data and is available for research or just enjoyment.
