For the last 65 years, Rainbow Trout Farm was the place where Northwesterners went for pay fishing. Generations of folks from all over Oregon and Washington have fished at Rainbow, and not only fishing but eating tons of trout in the process. The farm’s ten ponds were originally dug by hand in 1932, but Rainbow Trout Farm was established only in 1982. The new owners Mike and Marti Kaiser made some major restorations, cleared brush, built trails and restored buildings. Today Rainbow Trout Farm guests can enjoy about 30 acres of ponds, meadows and forests. The cedar and brick Hospitality Room is located at water’s edge and is available for special events. Rainbow Trout Farm is great place for a family weekend. It is great pleasure watching kids catching their first fish. The farm is located about seven miles from Sandy, Oregon. Poles and tackle are provided if you do not bring your own. The farm staff will even clean the fish for you.
