Mill Stream Run Reservation is a lovely public reservation that spans throughout the Cleveland suburbs of Berea, North Royalton, Strongsville, and Middleburg Heights, preserving an area that has been inhabited by humans for at least 8,000 years. During the 19th century, area communities such as Slab Hollow, Albion, and Sanderson's Corners utilized the park's Rocky River for water power and supply. Today, the park preserves native wildlife such as ferns and wildflower species and offers excellent trout fishing conditions at the Rocky River's East Branch and the 1.8-acre manmade Ranger Lake. Birds and bats can be spotted at the park's Strongsville Wildlife Area. A wide variety of visitor amenities and attractions are offered at the park, including the seasonal Wallace Lake Beach, the treetop Go Ape! zipline course, and The Chalet, which is home to Ohio's tallest ice toboggan chutes.
