Tappan Lake, also known as the Tappan Reservoir, is a vast reservoir in Harrison County that covers 2,350 acres and is surrounded by 5,000 acres of picturesque landscapes that form part of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District. The lake offers an array of water-based recreation such as boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and swimming, while on land visitors can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and camping. The quiet campground offers electric and non-electric campsites and cabin rentals, restrooms with flushing toilets and hot showers, picnic tables, and fire rings.
