Built in 1959 by the City on the old Erie Canal, the Utica Memorial Auditorium takes advantage of a central location and showcases its diversity. It continues today to be a premier entertainment venue in New York, hosting a wide variety of local, state, and national entertainment programming that ranges from family shows to concerts to sports. Just a few of the numerous performers who have taken the stage at Utica Memorial Auditorium include Kenny Rogers, ZZ Top, Bruce Springsteen, The Grateful Dead, Phish, Avenged Sevenfold, and Godsmack. The Ice Capades and the Harlem Globetrotters have also made appearances here.
