Fahnestock State Park Campground is the beautiful public campground area of Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park, which stretches across undisturbed lands in Putnam and Dutchess Counties on the banks of stunning Stillwater and Canopus Lakes. The park is a popular year-round destination for water activities, including boating, swimming, and fishing for bass, perch, pickerel, and brook and rainbow trout. Lovely Fahnestock Winter Park showcases 15 miles of cross-country and snowshoeing trails, along with a private sledding terrain area. A scenic campground is located along the park's natural rock ridges, featuring primitive campsites decked out with day-use picnic sites, fire rings, and barbecue grills.
