Crown Point Campground is located within one of New York's most rich historic regions, which played a seminal role during the American Revolutionary War.

Its lands were acquired by the New York State Conservation Department in 1910 and have been a popular outdoor recreational site for more than a century, known for an historic steamboat pier that has become a popular year-round fishing destination.

The entirety of Crown Point Reservation has been protected as a National Historic Landmark, including its iconic Crown Point Bridge, connecting the reservation to nearby Vermont, and its picturesque 1912 lighthouse.

Remnants of historic fortifications frame the reservation's lovely campground, which is home to 66 tent and RV sites equipped with modern bathhouses, recycling centers, dump stations, and a small communal picnic area.
