Honoring the youngest man at that time to serve as President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt Park in Manhattan, pays homage to this iconic New Yorker. The site of this historic park was first destined to be a botanical garden or zoo because of the size of the space. The American Museum of Natural History is housed on the grounds of the park, showcasing several exhibits and programs. Located across the street from Central Park, TRP offers shaded pathways and walkways, lush grounds for lounging, picnicking, or sunbathing, and a large area for a dog run.
