Home of two world fairs in the 20th Century, Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, enthralls visitors with its abundance of space and scenic trails. Hosting the 1939 and the 1964 World Fairs, it showcased to the world how wonderful and idyllic the park is with the Willow Lake Trail. The trail provides hikers with a path that passes through expansive habitat with lush trees that hang over parts of the path. This spacious outdoor haven offers park goers a list of athletic fields and courts. The park has three-baseball/softball fields and a football field. A permit is required to use facilities for league play.
