The High Line is a 1.45-mile long aerial greenway that was built on top of an unused, elevated section of the New York Central Railway. Inspired by a project in Paris, the High Line extends from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District through Chelsea to the north edge of the West Side Yard near the Javits Convention Center.
