For almost two hundred years, the graceful country estate and manor house known as Ringwood Manor served as the home of important ironmasters drawn to the rich magnetite iron deposits in the area, which includes the Cooper-Hewitt and Ryerson families. Located in a National Historic Landmark District in the Ringwood State Park, this 51-room historic home features an extensive collection of period furniture and paintings associated with families who once lived in the mansion. Visitors can take a guided tour of the Ringwood Manor year-round, Wednesday to Sunday, exploring the hundreds of acres of landscapes, gardens, and historical structures.
