The Jersey Shore is a popular summer destination for many people in the New England region of the United States, however, it can sometimes be better to pick a destination a bit off the beaten path. This is where the town of Ringwood, New Jersey comes in, home to just around 12, 000 people in a 28-square-mile space. Referred to as “an oasis within commuting distance” by the New York Times, Ringwood offers an ideal escape from the city and a variety of things to do, including several attractions within Ringwood State Park alone.
