One of two museums owned and operated by the Nashua Historical Society, the Abbot-Spalding House is a great place to learn about the city's history, but it's also an important piece of architecture in its own right. It was constructed in 1804, and it's an excellent example of Federal period architectural style, although it was somewhat altered in the beginning of the twentieth century and now has a noticeable Colonial Revival influence. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1980, and if you want to pay a visit, you can arrange an appointment with the Nashua Historical Society.
