Moose Brook State Park is a recreational area located in Gorham that is open seasonally from May to October. The park is popular for camping, hiking, picnicking, and mountain biking. There are also water activities, such as fishing and swimming in the Moose and Peabody Rivers. The park gets its name for Moose Brook, which fills the swimming area with chilly water from the mountains and then flows into the nearby Androscoggin River. For those wishing to camp, the park has 59 campsites throughout with both shaded and open, sunny campsites available. The park is often used as a base for those exploring the White Mountains a bit more deeply.
