Review:

Located roughly between 39th Terrace, 43rd Street, Main Street, and the SW Trafficway, Westport is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Kansas City and packed with an array of trendy boutiques, tasty eateries, and vibrant bars and nightclub. Originally named West Port for being westernmost village used by settlers to stock up before heading out into the Kansas Territory, the neighborhood today buzzes with residents and tourists and comes to life at night with numerous restaurants, sidewalk cafés, and bars as the restaurants and bars fill up. Tivoli Cinemas presents an independent, documentary and foreign films and the KC Improv Company offers weekly comedy shows, while Kelly’s Westport Inn is an iconic bar known for wild nights. Find fun and funky gifts and kitchen-related items from Pryde’s Old Westport, while unique apparel and gifts can be found at The Bunker. Food-wise – head to Bluestem for inventive American cuisine and Westport Flea Market serves some of the area’s most popular burgers.
