Review:
The Brookside shopping area is a charming shopping area with broad, tree-lined avenues and streets with brand stores and independently owned businesses that exudes a friendly neighborhood ambiance. Established in 1919 before the first World War, Brookside was Kansas City's first suburban shopping area and was designed to serve mobile shoppers with bakeries, grocery stores, drug stores, restaurants, and small businesses. Still maintaining the original neighborhood charm and architecture, Brookside is home to more than 80 shops, boutique stores, cafés, restaurants, and retail outlets, including The New Dime Store, 5B&Co. Candlemakers, Brookside Barkery and Bath, Foo's Fabulous Frozen Custard, World's Window, and the Blue Grotto for delicious handcrafted pizza.
