The Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail is a converted rail-trail that now offers nearly 40 miles of paved trails for you to walk, milk, and generally enjoy. The trail is paved, level, and wheelchair accessible so that everyone may enjoy. You can start your exploratory journey at Lime Valley Road, join through the Minnesota River Trail in Mankato, pass through 3 miles of Sakatah Lake State Park, and end in Faribault. Horseback riding is allowed though you will need a horse pass, as is snowmobiling yet snowmobiles must be registered. Sakatah Lake State Park, which runs along the trail, has separate picnic grounds, campgrounds, and biking/hiking trails that you can access.
