Open every day except Monday, The Commons is perhaps one of Detroit’s most unique coffee shops, combining a coin laundromat and coffee bar, operating out of MACC Development’s multi-purpose building on Mack Avenue. The Commons was created as a place to serve everyone in the 48214 community of the city, providing a comfortable and safe space for laundry, working, coffee, and chatting. The laundromat and coffee shop is located on the building’s first floor and there’s a literacy room located on the building’s ground floor. The second floor consists of MACC offices and a spacious community area with chairs and tables.
