Review:

The museum, situated on the historic Cranbrook campus, seeks to bring together art, education and science. It promotes scientific literacy through several outreach programs, targeted at all ages. There are summer camps and other seasonal activities, field trips and traveling exhibitions. A planetarium and observatory bring the cosmos to life and fossils and dinosaurs can be studied at the Discovery Center. The museum is set in large, wooded parklands and boasts a science shop and a Reflection Café, overlooking the pond. Cranbrook Institute of Science - Michigan's Museum of Natural History is open 7 days a week and is available for hosting private and corporate events.
