The Jonathan Fisher House was once the homestead of Jonathan Fisher, Blue Hill's first settled Congregational minister, and his family. Fisher was also a writer, surveyor, mathematician, scientist, farmer, and artist. Guests to the charming Jonathan Fisher House today have a chance to see the "Versatile Yankee's" life's work. Visitors can take a tour of the house or attend one of the special events or lectures during the summer and fall. Dedicated to preserving Fisher’s legacy and his impact on the history of the local area, the Jonathan Fisher House also hosts summer festivals with crafts and music.
