Located near the town of Springfield, Tickfaw State Park is one of the brightest and best state parks in the state of Louisiana. The park is particularly popular for its canoeing, offering visitors with a journey through a quiet, true swampland, which makes up much of the area’s landscape. Wooded and spacious campsites, group camps, and deluxe cabins provide plenty of space for friends and family to spend the entire weekend at Tickfaw State Park, just sixty miles from New Orleans and forty miles away from Baton Rouge. Even with the swampland, guests can also use skateboards and bikes to get around.
