Fairview-Riverside State Park is situated on the banks of the Tchefuncte River near Madisonville, offering campers with opportunities for boating, paddling, and some serious fishing. Anglers can fish for bream, white perch, bluegill, and bass, or those who venture a little further out can try their luck with redfish, trout, and catfish. There is also a mansion-size historic museum and a hiking trail for guests who prefer to stay on land. The campground in the Fairview-Riverside State Park is spacious and visitors can find comfort stations, a playground, a group pavilion, and several picnic tables scattered throughout the area beneath huge oak trees.
