The Audubon State Park offers a number of hiking opportunities in the area in and around Henderson, Kentucky, offering an ideal escape into nature with trails varying in distance and difficulty. Other outdoor recreational activities possible in this sprawling 700-acre state park include birding, picnicking, tennis, playgrounds, camping, golf, and fishing. Four playgrounds can be found at the Campground, Cardinal, Lakeview, and Sycamore shelters. Fishing opportunities include catfish, bluegill, and largemouth bass in the 28-acre lake at the Audubon State Park. A fishing license is needed and visitors are able to check out free gear for fishing.
