The South Central Kentucky Cultural Center in Glasgow shares the history of the events, places, and people that make up this area of Kentucky often called “the Barrens,” which includes the counties of Barren, Monroe, Hart, Allen, and Metcalfe.

The 30,000-square-foot center features three floors of quality exhibits for visitor explore. On the first floor, guests will find a variety of artifacts representing the south central region from around 12,000 BC through Kentucky’s frontier days, such as Native American objects, knives, and bone and stone tools from various historic eras. A military collection is located on the second floor.
