Fondly referred to as “Local’s Beach”, the Folly Field Beach Park is a beloved stretch pristine shoreline that is rarely overcrowded and thus frequented by Hilton Head locals. The beach’s shore is littered with gorgeous live oaks as well as squat Palmettos and is accessed via a residential neighborhood. While many visitors to Folly Field Park may prefer to rent one of the beach homes in the vicinity, the park itself is open to day-trippers who have access to ample parking, outdoor showers, restrooms, and beach rentals like umbrellas and chairs. The beach is perfect for families with young children as the ocean water is relatively shallow and has a flat bottom. The best part? The beach is dog friendly so you can bring your beloved canine companion along for the trip as well.
