Often called “the Little Smokies,” Brown County in Indiana resembles the scenery of the Smoky Mountains, encompassing almost sixteen thousand acres of fog-shrouded ravines, ridges, and rugged hills. Brown County State Park, the largest park in the state, is an especially popular destination during the autumn months, when the place turns into a wonderland of traditional fall colors with its almost twenty miles of roads lined with trees and several scenic overlook vistas.

Mountain biking trails, guided horseback riding, interpretive services, hiking trails, and large campgrounds are part of what makes the park popular throughout the entire year.
