Start your visit to the George Rogers Clark Memorial at Visitor Center which will give you a little background to the George Rogers Clark story. You’ll see exhibits as well as a 30-minute orientation movie, Long Knives. Afterwards, head to the memorial which was constructed between 1931 and 1933 and was, at that time, a major feat of architectural engineering. Inside the stunning memorial rotunda, you will see the Hermon MacNeil statue of Clark - a frontiersman who led his men bravely. On the walls of the memorial rotunda you will see seven 28-feet-tall murals which depict Clark’s expedition story.
