Review:

Every summer, the Forestburgh Playhouse brings great Broadway musicals to Forestburgh residents in its cozy 292-seat theatre, a dinner Cabaret in the Forestburgh Tavern and original kids' musicals several mornings a week.

This oldest New York professional summer theater, located about seven miles from Monticello, was founded in 1947 in the old refurbished Klebs farm, and is one of the last small summer theatres left in the United States.

The Playhouse hires the entire new 50-people team every year, from actors, directors and musicians to technicians and designers, occasionally bringing some great names straight from the Big Apple stage.

Since the first production of Blithe Spirit in 1947, the Playhouse has presented more than 250 shows.
