Founded in 1935, the Roswell Museum & Art Center is dedicated to showcasing the art and history of the American Southwest through a variety of outstanding exhibits and displays. Established as a cultural and educational center for the community, the 50,000 square-foot facility exhibits include paintings, prints and drawings, sculptures, decorative arts, and historical artifacts across 12 galleries.

The center is also home to the Patricia Lubben Bassett Art Education Center, the Dr. Robert H Goddard Planetarium, and an excellent research library, and it offers a variety of educational programs and classes for children and students of all ages.
