Review & FAQ:
Established to preserve Edmond's fascinating history and heritage, the Edmond Historical Society & Museum is housed inside a historic sandstone building that was built in 1936 to serve as an armory. The permanent exhibits were designed with all ages in mind, and they're arranged in chronological order beginning with 1886 when the town was nothing but a simple train stop. Adults are also welcome to browse the research library, and if you have kids, they can spend some time playing in the Children's Learning Center. Admission is free, but groups of ten or more people are asked to schedule their visit in advance.
