The Musee du Vieux Montpellier, or the Museum of Old Montpellier, is located on the first floor of the Hotel de Varennes, a building which, despite its many more recent additions, dates back to medieval times. Inside the Musee du Vieux Montpellier, visitors will find exhibits and displays with some incredible artifacts dating back to the Middle Ages all the way up to the 20th century. Some of these artifacts include furniture, weapons, paintings, statues, household goods, and even entire recreations of historic rooms, down to every last detail. Tickets are affordable, and discounts or free admissions are offered for some demographics.
